The Anaheim City Council has finally unanimously approved the “people’s map” this past Tuesday, February 9, 2016, during the council meeting. The new map divides the city into six districts and allows a more equitable representation in city council. Read more about the districts map here.
On Wednesday, January 27, the Arab American Civic Council sponsored a panel discussion at the Arab American Community Center to address the new districts map and how it will shape the future of Anaheim.
Panelists included Anaheim Mayor Tom Tait, Dr. Jose F. Moreno, President of Los Amigos of Orange County and former school board member, and community activist Mirvette Judeh.
