On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, the Anaheim City Council under the leadership of Mayor Tom Tait, proclaimed April as Arab American Heritage Month. Anaheim has become the second city in Orange County to recognize the month following Garden Grove’s proclamation.
During the City Council meeting, the Mayor and Councilmembers presented certificates of recognition to key Arab American pioneers for their twenty years of public service and community development in the city of Anaheim, and later presented the Arab American Civic Council with a proclamation.
