Sharing a Meal with Refugees in Orange County

On Tuesday, May 31, the Arab American Civic Council in partnership with PAX Manifesto and World Relief, invited local refugee families who have recently arrived to Orange County to share a meal with other OC residents at Little Arabia District‘s Olive Tree Restaurant. The refugees included a family from Afghanistan, an individual from Iran, and a family from Iraq who were refugees in Syria before being forced to flee, again, from Syria.

Local community members from across Orange County attended the lunch to meet their new friends and share a meal and stories with them.

We’re thankful to Olive Tree Restaurant for their generosity towards refugees and a very generous private donor for covering the dinner cost for community friends.
