takeonhate-headshot1.jpgJohanna Mustafa is a recent Political Science graduate from the University of Southern California. As a Palestinian American raised in Amman – Jordan, Johanna developed a strong commitment for social justice, human rights, and civic engagement at a young age. She gained a closer insight into the world of politics and community organizing through her academic background and internship experiences with Human Rights Watch, California Strategies, and Congress member Karen Bass at Capitol Hill.

As a recent graduate, she plans to further her education in legal studies, and pursue a career that would better serve and represent the Arab American community on a national and international level. She chose to serve as a Transformative Leaders Fellow at the Arab American Civic Council to empower and engage the local Arab American community through meaningful civic participation and advocacy initiatives.

Welcome to the AACC team, Johanna!
