Op-Ed: Arab Americans want their own Census box

In an Op-Ed published in the Voice of OC, Arab American Civic Council Executive Director Rashad Al-Dabbagh writes about the Trump Administration’s decision to continue counting Arabs as White in the decennial Census.

The Census Bureau announced that the 2020 Census will not include a new “Middle Eastern or North African” category. He argues that Arab Americans must demand that Congress takes action when the Census Bureau submits the final question content for approval on March 31^st.
