Dr. Nasir has been an active leader both in his own community and in Arab American organizations. He co-founded the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund in 1991, and was instrumental in the organization’s development and growth into one of the main nonprofits helping children in the Middle East.

Dr. Nasir held the position of chairman for many years while his wife, Suhaila Nasir housed and cared for several children cancer patients receiving treatment in the U.S. His many contributions also include founding the Birzeit Society, and serving as President of the National Arab-American Medical Society. The award will be but a small token of the gratitude that the Arab American community feel for Dr. Nasir.

Tickets to attend our first of its kind, annual gala are sold at this link.

The AACC was formed with the mission to advance the Arab American community by encouraging their civic participation through community organizing, advocacy, leadership development, and cultural empowerment. One of our objectives to fulfill this mission is to celebrate our Arab American heritage during the month of April, which is recognized by the State of California as Arab American heritage month.
