Peter Aziz is an Egyptian-American of Coptic descent, born in Sunny Southern California. Peter earned his B.A. in Public Policy from UC Riverside and is pursuing his Master’s degree also in Public Policy and Administration.
He has a deep-rooted passion for social mobility and change that developed during his time studying Policy in undergrad. Peter wanted to further connect this change for social justice by expanding on the issues facing the Coptic diaspora and saw a need for joint efforts of social movements amongst the wider Arab American community.
As his motivation comes from community organizing amongst the Coptic community, he hopes to build bridges amongst the Arab American community in Southern California through civic engagement as he joins the Arab American Civic Council as the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC) Transformative Leaders Fellow of 2018-19.
Welcome to the AACC team, Peter!
