AACC welcomes SCR-71 to designate Little Arabia in Anaheim

The Arab American Civic Council welcomes the introduction of Senate Concurrent Resolution 71 (SCR-71), which would recognize the Little Arabia District in the City of Anaheim with an official highway landmark on Interstate 5, upon local designation by the City of Anaheim or the County of Orange.

The Little Arabia District of Anaheim is one of the largest Arab American cultural and business communities in the nation, offering a unique cultural experience with its many restaurants and shops. Many of the businesses in the area are Arab American owned and provide services and products for locals and tourists alike.

Formally designating this area as Little Arabia will honor the contributions of Arab American entrepreneurs to the local economy, and acknowledge the area as a significant cultural district.

The Arab American Civic Council would like to thank State Senator Ling Ling Chang for introducing this Resolution, and we call on our community members from District 29 and the City of Anaheim to sign on to this letter to support SCR-71.
