April 4th is a significant date in Arab American history. Today, we commemorate the birth date of Alexander Michael Odeh, a Palestinian-American who dedicated his life to advocating for Palestinian rights. Odeh served as the West Coast regional director of the ADC.
In 1985, Alex Odeh was assassinated when a pipe bomb exploded as he opened the door to the ADC West Coast office in Santa Ana, California, killing him shortly after. Alex is survived by his wife Norma, and their three daughters Helena, Samy, and Susan.
