The police murder of George Floyd was an unspeakable tragedy. While today’s verdict is welcome news, this was just one officer and one case. Justice will not truly be served until our leaders listen to people’s concerns and address them in a meaningful way.

As we celebrate this one ruling, we reaffirm our demand that public officials move on meaningful change and ending all police violence against Black people. Only then can we come together and move forward as a country.
