Job Title: NNAAC Transformative Leaders Fellow

Location: Little Arabia District, Anaheim, CA
Hours Per Week: 16
Financial Compensation: $6,000 stipend for nine-month period
Credit Hours Earned: Varied by college requirements
Job Duties:
✓ Expand upon knowledge of nonprofits in following key areas: community organizing, communications, administration, fundraising, community outreach, and event planning.
✓ Outreach and tabling at community events and mosques to raise awareness about the work of AACC and engage in voter registration pushes.
✓ Canvassing, phone banking, and/or text banking during our Get Out The Vote (GOTV) campaign.
✓ Participate in meetings and conferences to expand your knowledge base and skill set.
✓ Writing original content and publishing updates to community members regularly using ActionNetwork.
✓ Maintaining the social media presence including regular updates and creation of appealing content on multiple platforms including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
✓ Assist in preparing press releases and proactively working with the media to generate comprehensive coverage of Arab Americans.
✓ Participate in organizing fundraising events.
✓Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidates must identify as Arab American and must be a current college junior or senior, or recent graduate. Experience in nonprofits and volunteering is helpful. Bilingual in Arabic and English, and some understanding of the Arab community of the Greater Los Angeles Area, also helpful.
