All week we have been meeting with officials from the Office of Management and Budget and members of Congress.. In our discussions we’ve pressed on issues including:

• The implementation of the MENA category
• Health equity for Arab Americans
• The protection of voting rights,
• Immigration justice
• The genocide in Gaza

Arab American Advocacy Days is an annual convening organized by the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC) in the nation’s capitol bringing together more than two dozen community organizations from across the country to advocate on critical issues impacting our communities.

We’re honored to be part of this inspiring lineup of workshops, thanks to Chispa’s invitation. Our workshop, “From Nakba to Neighborhood: Resilience and Resistance in Little Arabia,” will be presented by Ayah Shiadah and myself.
